Albuquerque Golf

We welcome you to Old Town Albuquerque and to some of the
most unique and amazing courses in the United States.
Albuquerque has a glorious year-round climate that lends itself
perfectly to playing golf. Weather is a key variable for a golf
vacation, and Albuquerque has some of the most reliable weather
conditions in the country, with 310 days of sunshine and an
average annual high temperature of 70 degrees. The
city golf courses are
open 364 days of the year, weather permitting, and executive
courses are always open to the public doing tournament play when
the 18 holes course is closed. Albuquerque's prime golf season
is April to October, which is one of the longest playing seasons
among major golf destinations. The shoulder months are often
outstanding as well, but can be less predictable. Still, with an
average winter high near 50 degrees and frequent sunny blue
skies, golfers are out on the courses almost every day during
the winter off-season.
Differences in course elevation can affect temperatures and
weather conditions, sometimes significantly. Summer highs in
Albuquerque, at 5,500 feet in elevation, average near 90
degrees, with very low humidity and cool mornings that start out
near 62 degrees. Mountain courses, including Paa-Ko Ridge on the
east side of the Sandia Mountains, have a slightly cooler
average high temperature of 84 degrees in June, July and August;
mornings start out around 50 degrees.
Golf Digest and Golf Magazine have ranked several of
Albuquerque's public courses among the best in the country for
good reason. Our forested mountains, lush river valleys and high
desert plains combine to make central New Mexico a dream come
true for golf course designers. From desert links to parkland to
mountain courses, we offer arguably the most diverse golf
experience available in one area.

Paa-Ko
Ridge Golf Club - The 27-hole public golf course is
situated on the east side of the Sandia Mountains, at elevations
ranging from 6,500 to 7,000 feet. The layout of the course
features landing areas and greens separated by arroyos, native
vegetation, and rock outcroppings. Each hole in the upscale
course has five sets of tees allowing play from 5,702 to 7,562
yards, and many of the holes play downhill through ponderosa,
pinon and juniper. Pro tips for each hole can be found on the
virtual tour.
Pueblo
de Cochiti Golf Course - The best drive you’ll ever have
is the one that gets you to Pueblo de Cochiti Golf Course. Lying
amid the foothills of the Jemez Mountains, Pueblo de Cochiti is
located approximately 50 minutes north of Albuquerque and 30
minutes southwest of Santa Fe. Designed in 1981 by Robert Trent
Jones Jr., the course is well known for its natural beauty and
breathtaking views. The locals have dubbed it “Heaven with a Zip
Code”. It’s a course proven to be one of the most challenging,
yet fair tests of golf in the country ~where every hole is a
signature hole. Golf Digest has currently rated Cochiti a 4 star
facility and has also awarded and Architecture Award for
Outstanding Design. Cochiti is also featured in Golf Week’s
“America’s Best Courses You Can Play List”. Undisturbed by a
hint of civilization, the birdies are abundant, wildlife is
diverse and eagles are far from rare.
Sandia
Golf Club - The Club features a 7,772-yard golf course
designed by Scott Miller and managed by OB Sports Golf
Management. The Golf course opened for play on June 11, 2005.
Stretching from 5,113 yards to 7,772 yards from the back tees,
the Par 72 Championship Course will challenge and delight
golfers with a memorable layout routed through the rugged high
desert landscape featuring 48 strategically placed bunkers,
challenging green complexes and panoramic views of the Sandia
Mountains and greater Albuquerque area. The facility also
features a full size practice range with a double-tiered teeing
area, a 10,000 square foot practice putting green, a practice
chipping green with bunker, and a small putting green next to
the number 1 tee. The Club features a 16,000 square foot “Pueblo
style” clubhouse complete with a fully-stocked golf shop, full
service 42 seat restaurant & grill and a 3,000 square foot

activity. The course has beautiful grassy knolls and ridges
dotted with Juniper and Pinon Pine. Wonderful dry washes known
as arroyo's and eroded land features, along with the sacred
butte known as Tuyuna or "Snakehead" complete a picture framed
by spectacular views of the Sandia Mountains.
Isleta
Eagle Golf Course - The Isleta Eagle is a 27-hole,
public daily-fee Albuquerque NM golf course with three distinct
nine-hole tracts. Designed on the native grass, these holes
boast backdrop views of Mount Taylor and the Rio Grande. Most of
the holes on the Mesa Nine are designed around and across native
mesa washes and Arroyo Nine was designed around the largest mesa
arroyo, creating the course's most spectacular views. All
nine-hole tracts are par 36, with any two combinations adding to
at least 7000 yards. The Pueblo of Isleta invites you to play a
combination of 27 holes and enjoy golf New Mexico-style!
