Coming Up: Downtown SummerFest

Celebrate the end of summer at the Downtown Summerfest!

Coming Up: Downtown SummerFest

On August 3rd, Downtown Albuquerque is hosting the annual street festival, featuring local food trucks, amazing artisans, and live music.  The event is family-friendly and will have lots of activities for kids and adults.

Live Music

Headlining this year is blues artist Tommy Castro and the Painkillers!  The band has played internationally, and their music is always amazing without losing the trademark grit.  Also playing on the main stage will be funk group Merican Slang, Latino-blues rock group The Moonthieves, and New Mexican variety group Sr8t Shot.  All four bands are amazing and are likely to have you dancing in every line throughout the day.

The Microbrew Garden Stage is also featuring four acts – alt-country Michael Moxey and the Easy Sinners, jazz artist Tracey Whitney, rockabilly Phil Rocker, and reggae band Innastate.  You’ll enjoy relaxing to their varied sounds as you enjoy a brew at one of the many tables set up for people who need to rest their feet!

Microbrew Garden

Speaking of the Microbrew Garden, a number of local breweries will be showing off their beverages, including Abbey Brewing Company, Broken Trail Spirits, and Tractor Brewing CoSheehan Winery will even be on hand, offering red and white wines.

Activities

Kids will enjoy face painting, the bounce house, and a rock climbing wall, among other activities, whereas adults will enjoy browsing the crafts of local artisans.  From baked goods to pottery, and everything in between, there will be plenty to buy, and you can get a head start on your holiday shopping!

Join us at Downtown SummerFest and enjoy a fun day of food, crafts, and entertainment!
